    The Army Geospatial Center developed a new Routing Application Programming Interface that will let Army systems access and share routes and obstacles in a simple, interoperable way. Esri recently prototyped an implementation of the API.
  • TERROR MAP OF AFGHANISTAN PUBLISHED IN ESRI’s ANNUAL MAP BOOK

    Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc. (ESRI) will publish a “Terror in Afghanistan” map created by Mr. Stephen Benzek, cartographer, U.S. Army Geospatial Center (AGC), in its annual “Map Book”. The book is dedicated to acknowledging the important and innovative accomplishments of geographic information system (GIS) users around the world.
  • Stephen Benzek wins ESRI People’s Choice Award

    Stephen Benzek’s imaginative creation of a noncontemporary, nontraditional-style map of the Mediterranean region recently won the prestigious People’s Choice Award during the 28th Annual Environmental Systems Research Institute Inc. (ESRI) International User Conference. Benzek’s map “The Geography of Paul” was chosen from more than 1,000 entries and voted by more than 17,000 conference attendees to receive the top prize.
  • U.S. Army Topographic Engineering Center and ESRI Collaborate on Geospatial

    The U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center’s Topographic Engineering Center (ERDC-TEC), and Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc. (ESRI) will collaborate to design and build innovative prototypes to demonstrate the next generation of geospatial technology in U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Battle Command applications. TEC and ESRI signed a cooperative research and development agreement for the project this month.
