Mr. Robert Burkhardt, director of the Engineer Research and Development
Center’s Topographic Engineering Center, was recently appointed as the Army’s first Geospatial
Information Officer (GIO) by Headquarters, Department of the Army’s Geospatial-Enterprise
Governance Board.
