AGC´s expertise encompasses the collection, use, storage, and distribution of aerial and satellite imagery and sensor data from electro-optical, hyperspectral, LIDAR, and other geo-sensors from the open and unclassified to the highly secured environments; hosting the Buckeye collection platform; and research into multi-sensor environments and analysis.

Corps’ LA District to change commanders at July 19 ceremony

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District will conduct a change of command ceremony at 10:30 a.m. July 19 at the Community Center, Fort MacArthur, in San Pedro. Col. Kirk Gibbs, LA District’s 61st commander, will relinquish command to Col. Aaron Barta in a traditional Army ceremony.

CORPS PERFORMING ROAD MAINTENANCE AT NORFORK LAKE PARKS

MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers’ Mountain Home Project Office will be performing road maintenance for the next 4 to 6 weeks at several boat launch ramps and parking areas on Norfork Lake.

Corps joins battle against invasive weed in Rock Creek

This summer, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Washington Department of Ecology will battle an infestation of Eurasian watermilfoil, an invasive plant, in Rock Creek with an herbicide treatment. As part of a cooperative agreement with the Klickitat County Noxious Weed Board, contractors will treat the watermilfoil with an herbicide on two days between July 15 and August 31, and the Corps will temporarily close the recreation area.
