The Soldier’s operational environment is constantly evolving, necessitating continual innovation. The Army Geospatial Center has long pioneered critical research and development (R&D) related to region-specific weather and terrain conditions, the urban environment, socio-cultural dynamics, combating asymmetric threats, and meeting the challenges posed by major powers on the battlefield of tomorrow. Such challenges drive the U.S. Army Geospatial Center’s efforts to remain responsive, relevant, reliable, and ready to help the Warfighter accomplish his or her mission.
R&D is a critical component of the AGC’s innovation process and relies heavily upon collaboration with industry, academia, federal, and state organizations. Partnership with the AGC’s award-winning R&D team allows our Warfighters to remain two steps ahead of their adversaries, and two steps closer to completing their missions efficiently, effectively and safely. Technology transfer opportunities with the AGC ensure that new tools and processes are accessible to a wide range of users, including tomorrow’s Soldiers.
