Mr. Albert Mategrano III serves as the Acting Director of the U.S. Army Geospatial Center in Alexandria, Virginia. The Army Geospatial Center is the Army’s knowledge center for geospatial expertise and provides geospatial information reach-back capability to field units. As the Acting Director, he provides leadership and direction to the operational, scientific, engineering, research, systems acquisition, and staff support activities of AGC. He facilitates management of technical programs and development of strategic goals and objectives and 
makes strategic leadership decisions in support of planning, programming, budgeting and executing agency resources. He monitors and manages overall business and technical performance for AGC. He is responsible for visioning, strategic and investment planning, resource allocation, program development, business development, strategic partnering, resource development, external coordination, program advocacy, oversight and review at the AGC, Army, and DoD levels.

  •  2012-2014: Branch Chief, Office of the Chief of Engineers, Pentagon. Retired from the Army at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in 2014.
